Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic believes his team could have beaten Bayer Leverkusen if they had been more clinical in their finishing.

The Bavarians drew 1-1 at home to Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Saturday night. Bayern now have 13 points from 5 matches and remain top of the table.

“We had a lot of chances but in the end we didn’t get them. Maybe we didn’t have the final touch or the finishing touch from the edge of the box,” the midfielder, who scored Bayern’s equaliser, said after the game.

“We can be proud of our performance, we controlled the game, Leverkusen had only two chances to finish, and the pass before the corner I could have passed it back to Manu (El Neuer) but the ball bounced off again.

“We had to defend the corners better, we encouraged others, stayed positive, kept pressing and then I scored. My thought at the time was to score and it worked beautifully.

“I’m happy to score the equalizer and get us back Promotion Ufabet into the game. Things are going in the right direction now. We’ll work even harder and keep going.” Pavlovic said.

Fans were ecstatic after that goal and subsequent performance that allowed Bayern to pick up a point in the end, and will sure hope for more such performances from Bavaria’s very own in the near future.
